Competition Rebuild Service Features

Coated Rotors and Rebuilt Rotor Assembly

Image 1 shows a step in the process of setting Rotor-to-case Clearance. Click on image to enlarge in a new window.
Our rotor coating process leaves the concave part of the rotor flutes with 3 times the thickness of coating as the outside rotor diameter, Patent pending. This means there is less gap between the rotors for the air to leak through. The outside rotor diameter only has .003 to .004 of coating. This part of the coating is thinner so that the rotors do not rub the case. Image 1 shows rotors through the outlet of their case that are in the process of having the the Rotor-to-case clearance set for optimum performance.

The rotor assembly is rebuilt with brand name, class 3 bearings and Viton seals, Patent pending. See the rebuilt rotor assembly and case in Image 2. These quality bearings and seals will last a long time.

 

 

Machined Snout (a.k.a. Nose Cone)

Image 3Image 3 shows a machined Eaton Snout that is made to fit smaller pulleys for more boost. Click on image to enlarge in a new window.
The Snout front is machined to accept pulleys down to a 2.6 diameter in either 6 or 8 ribbed pulleys. This will allow you to run a smaller pulley for more boost. Take a look at Image 3.

 

 

Replaced Seals

The Snout seal is replaced with a Viton seal spring load with dust lip & metal ring is incapslated in rubber & rotor seals are upgraded to Viton spring loaded lip seals. See Image 4.




Upgraded Snout Retaining Clip

Image 5 shows the Eaton Snout with our Snout Retaining Clip installed.  Click on image to enlarge in a new window.The Snout seal retaining Rotor Clip replaces the factory wire-retaining ring. The Rotor Clip cannot be pushed out under high boost because it seats better in the retaining ring groove and against the Snout Seal. See Images 5 & 6.

Replaced Bearings

We replace all the bearings with quality replacements including 2 rear rotor case needle roller bearings, 2 front rotor ball bearings and 2 nosecone ball bearings.





Replaced Coupler (a.k.a. Universal)

A new ESM replacement coupler is installed. Our solid 6/6 nylon coupler is machined out of a billet for ultimate durability.







Ported Supercharger Inlet and Outlet

The Throttle Body opening (originally 72 mm) which is the air inlet that feeds the rotors, is machined to ESM performance porting specifications. The supercharger outlet is machined to ESM performance porting specifications. This porting increases the volume of air the rotors move with each rotation. Take a close look at Images 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13.

Optional Weight Reduction Package
Titanium Shaft and Aluminum Coupler Drive

Reduce the reciprocating weight by over a half of a pound. Add on our Optional Weight Reduction Package which includes a Titanium Driveshaft and a Steel Coupler Drive. These two items are sold together as an option for the Eaton Gen5 Competition Rebuild Service.
