Rotor Stripping Service is the complete chemical removal of debris from the rotors. We prepare the rotors' sealing surfaces for the Rotor Coatings about to be applied. Materials removed include powder coat, paint, supercharger oil, bearing grease, Carbon buildup and more. This Service is only offered to make sure the Rotors are prepared properly for coatings and is only available with our Rotor Coating Services. There is no performance advantage to simply stripping the Rotors and if done improperly can lead to unnecessary catastrophic supercharger failure. Chipped coatings must be fixed in order to maintain the proper clearences between rotor sealing surfaces and keep the blower at optimum operating status.

What Eaton Supercharger core would benefit from this service?
- Most Eaton Superchargers will benefit from this service, however, this service is not applicable for every Eaton supercharger. The Shop Foreman will determine if the core has balanced rotor end clearances or if the tolerance is stacked more on one end of the rotors.
- The ideal supercharger core candidate would have the majority of the rotor end clearance more on one end of the rotors. Some Eaton superchargers do not have near enough clearance on one end from the factory. The supercharger tolerances can be so unbalanced, they can contribute to a shorter supercharger lifetime due to rotor drag on the front bearing plate or back inside housing.
- This service will resolve a tolerance issue with the rotors and may be required to put certain Eaton supercharger cores back into service.
- The Shop Foreman will determine if the supercharger will require the service to be put back into operation or could benefit from it by enhancing the supercharger's performance.
- This service may be necessary as a Rescue and Repair Service as determined by the Shop Foreman. In this case it will be required, if the core is to be reused.
- For performance enthusiasts, this a terrific optional supercharger performance CNC machining service that can be performed as an ADD-ON Option during the Complete Supercharger Rebuild Service with Rotor Assembly Service. This service is only available as an ADD-ON Service and can not be performed without the entire supercharger core present.

What performance is gained by having this CNC Machined Blueprinting Service done to the Supercharger Rotor End Clearances?
- Put simply, less rotor clearance means less leakage which means more horsepower.
- For a real world example of approximate gain, 0.003" clearance is worth about one pound of boost on the Eaton M45 Gen 4&5 supechargers.

- The answer to that question varies with the rotor assembly plate configuration. Listed to the left here are the possible configurations by Eaton generation and a brief description of the rotor end clearance blueprint machining service available for it.

We sell this Red Sealer to be used between the Eaton Snout and Bearing Plate when reinstalling the Snout on the Supercharger. It is designed to be used with Aluminum flanges and we prefer it for any flange on the supercharger. Review package Caution information prior to use. We offer Complete Rebuild Services for the roots-type superchargers made by Eaton, including those used in aftermarket automotive supercharger system manufacturers suchas Allen, Jackson Racing, Magnuson, MagnaCharger, and Saleen. We use high-quality replacement components that are most often an upgrade from the worn original components we are replacing. If the supercharger has it's major components damaged beyond normal wear of it's coupler, bearings and seals, then you may also need our custom Rescue & Repair Services for those extreme cases where the supercharger is severely damaged. Rotor Coating Services are available with the Rotor Assembly Rebuild Services as a High Performance ADD-ON Optional Service.

Roots-type Supercharger Rebuild Services for All Eaton Superchargers
To answer your questions; Yes we re-coat all Eaton rotors. Yes, we are aware of the black coating on the Gen5 Eatons. It is a rubbery interference fit coating that wears in over time to establish the correct clearences for the rotors and case. Our coating is different than this. Ours is similar to the coating applied to piston skirts. We will recommend you keep the black coating if it is in good enough shape that the rotor timing can be set properly.

When we are preparing your supercharger for the coating process, we check the assembled supercharger's clearences first. Then we coat to achieve the correct clearences with our multi-layered dual coating process. After the rotors are coated, during reassembly, the rotors are set to optimum clearences related to your case. We can rebuild part or all of the supercharger, depending upon what is needed to bring it back to operating status. The rotor assembly will need to be rebuilt in order to coat the rotors.
