Remember, we never glue, peen or weld our rotor ball bearings into place because this will lead to failure. There are two major concerns with those methods. First, when the ball bearing is not secure in the bearing bore, it could walk around creating a non-round hole with damage that may scrap out the bearing plate. The second concern we have with these less preferable methods is that welding will distort aluminum and could render the supercharger core not reusable when your rotors crash into your housing bores. Shipping costs related to the transfer of items will always be the responsibility of the consumer. Customer with concern must contact us for a Return Authorization Number to be note on the inside and outside of the packaging when the supercharger is returned for potential warranty concern.

Extent of coverage is only ever determined by our Shop Foreman. Damage assessments will be thorough and specific so that any cause of concern is addressed clearly and accurately. The scope of the warranty work required is based on this assessment. We will work closely with any customer who has items of concern to work to resolve them to reasonable satisfaction. The warranty is voided if the application of the product by the consumer was the root cause of an item’s failure. We appreciate the opportunity to make right any developments that are our responsibility. If the failure is determined to be unrelated to our services rendered, we can often provide economical rescue repair services that can reclaim some superchargers after damage had occurred. The Warranty is based solely and completely on the original return shipping date. The supercharger must be installed during the the Warranty period to qualify for any Warranty support. There is no accurate way to verify how many miles or hours the supercharger has operated and this is why the Warranty coverage is date based. We understand that sometimes the supercharger will sit before the motor is ready. It is your responsibility to start use of it. We recommend putting the unit into service within 30 days of receipt. Waiting even 6 months to begin use is discouraged because there are oiled/greased seals that can be damaged if the supercharger is allowed to sit for an extended period prior to use. Depending on environment it is stored in, the supercharger seals which are oiled and greased can dry out, over time without use the grease is squeezed out by the spring in the seal. A dry start will rip the seal lips off and is not covered by Warranty. We can repair this if it happens but it will be charged for due to neglect of the owner to use the serviced unit in a reasonable time frame.
Custom machine work and repairs are non-refundable and not covered by warranty. There is no refund after a repair has been completed. A defective or damaged component provided for repair may be beyond repair perameters and have to be replaced by the customer in order to reach functionality of the supercharger. All supercharger components, repair parts, services and related costs are not covered by warranty and is not refundable. All packaging and shipping costs related to custom repairs and custom machine work are the responsibility of the customer.

Unforeseen Damage, revisions to Work Order and the value of the "Note in the box":
All damage found in the supercharger is always the responsibility of the customer. There will be no discounts of any kind, for any reason, to anyone. This includes unforeseen damage that is discovered at any time during the service process. We will always make an effort to discover damaged components during the initial dis-assembly. Your description of the symptoms provided in the "Note in the box" will guide our search for issues to be addressed. Finding the more subtle damages in your supercharger during the initial dis-assembly is not always possible, nor is it guaranteed and changes to the Work Order, before or after payment is made can be necessary. This is unusual and we are as thorough as possible to avoid requiring additional payments from you and doing all the extra paperwork that goes along with revisions to the Work Order. These kind of revisions slow work in the shop so please realize these are just items to be addressed. We take revisions to the Work Order very seriously and would rather not have to make them. There is a standard 30-day limit on all returns with The HSL but, some manufacturers will have a shorter timeframe. We schedule work flow based on when each customer makes payment. The Payment Invoice will be sent when we can schedule your supercharger into the shop work list. After you review and approve the work order payment Invoice, payment can be made using major credit or debit card such as, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express with the link in the email. - We will accept a United States Post Office Money Order which must clear before the supercharger will be released for return shipment or pick up by the customer.
- Collect on Delivery (COD) through the United States Postal Service is available for an additional fee. You pay the Postmaster. They pay us.
- We will accept cash. A record of every transaction is maintained for the warranty coverage. This Work Order is the service warranty receipt and should be kept with the supercharger's records and receipts.
- We reserve the right to refuse any method of payment that is suspect or does not comply with our company payment method policies.
Erroneous Claims and Charge back Policy Statement:
This policy has been put in place due to a single customer who was initially turned away for his demanding nature of his approach to working with us and unreasonable amount of administrative time they wanted from our staff. We will probably not need this policy but, this difficult individual highlighted the need to state clearly what is socially and professionally appropriate. If a customer files an erroneous claim with our payment companies and it is found to be an inappropriate claim, that customer will be charged a fee depending upon the number of labor hours required to resolve the claim, any costs related to delays caused by inappropriate claim filings. These costs will be only determined by the Office Manager/Production Manager based on the amount of time it takes to recover from all the delays the distraction our other customers suffer. This includes accelerated shipping service costs, such as shipping any supercharger the week the claim is filed to customers unrelated to the complaint or transaction. We do not guarantee fulfillment timeframes ever. This fee is intended to make up for the distraction of inappropriate nature for all the customers that are affected. All outstanding balances will affect warranty coverage and may only be resolved by the Office Manager/Production Manager. We are reasonable and always do our best. If there is a concern, we want to resolve it. Any and all outstanding balances must be resolved prior to any warranty, return, refund, exchange agreement being reached. We have a superior relationship with our payment services due to 29+ years of upstanding business practices. Repair services are non-refundable.
We understand that sometimes customers need to cancel an order. There is an appropriate time and procedure to cancelling an order. While we do not guarantee order fulfillment timeframes due to the nature of our specialty machine shop service business and the custom nature of the orders, we understand there are times when a customer would like to cancel their order. Due to two certain customers' actions in 2020 our charge back policy has been updated to combat certain criminal activities and this new approach to theft. Before a paid customer files a charge back, the customer must contact us first for a charge back order cancellation number issued by our company. Due to criminal actions by certain customers, all charge backs or cancelled payments performed with or without notice to us once they are told the return shipment label is about to be purchased or has been purchased will be reported to the FBI and the customer's local law enforcement as a possible attempted wire fraud, mail fraud and postal theft. To avoid this, customer must make person to person contact prior to any charge back or risk being reported as suspected criminal activity. A charge back order cancellation number may be issued for the customer if a shipping label has not yet been purchased and depending upon current status of order. This policy has been put in place due to a single customer who was initially turned away for his demanding nature of his approach to working with us and unreasonable amount of administrative time they wanted from our staff. We will probably not need this policy but, this difficult individual highlighted the need to state clearly what is socially and professionally appropriate. If a customer files an erroneous claim with our payment companies and it is found to be an inappropriate claim, that customer will be charged a fee depending upon the number of labor hours required to resolve the claim, any costs related to delays caused by inappropriate claim filings. These costs will be only determined by the Office Manager/Production Manager based on the amount of time it takes to recover from all the delays the distraction our other customers suffer. This includes accelerated shipping service costs, such as shipping any supercharger the week the claim is filed to customers unrelated to the complaint or transaction. We do not guarantee fulfillment timeframes ever. This fee is intended to make up for the distraction of inappropriate nature for all the customers that are affected. All outstanding balances will affect warranty coverage and may only be resolved by the Office Manager/Production Manager. We are reasonable and always do our best. If there is a concern, we want to resolve it. Any and all outstanding balances must be resolved prior to any warranty, return, refund, exchange agreement being reached. We have a superior relationship with our payment services due to 29+ years of upstanding business practices. Repair services are non-refundable.
We understand that sometimes customers need to cancel an order. There is an appropriate time and procedure to cancelling an order. While we do not guarantee order fulfillment timeframes due to the nature of our specialty machine shop service business and the custom nature of the orders, we understand there are times when a customer would like to cancel their order. Due to two certain customers' actions in 2020 our charge back policy has been updated to combat certain criminal activities and this new approach to theft. Before a paid customer files a charge back, the customer must contact us first for a charge back order cancellation number issued by our company. Due to criminal actions by certain customers, all charge backs or cancelled payments performed with or without notice to us once they are told the return shipment label is about to be purchased or has been purchased will be reported to the FBI and the customer's local law enforcement as a possible attempted wire fraud, mail fraud and postal theft. To avoid this, customer must make person to person contact prior to any charge back or risk being reported as suspected criminal activity. This is possible through email with a .pdf file of the shipping label you generate from your shipping service account. Or in the past, UPS has provided a paper label by mail upon request by the shipping account holder's request. Also, FedEx has given it's driver the shipping label to attach when the package was picked up from us. These are all good ways to use your shipping account. Installation Sealer (if applicable):
We recommend using Permatex Anaerobic Gasket Maker (PX#51817 small tube or PX#51813 large tube) which is designed for Aluminum flanges, available at some auto parts stores. Do not get any sealer or any debris in the rotors during installation. Do not use too much sealer or it will squeeze out into the rotors which will damage the supercharger. Completely clean any old sealer off the surfaces you are connecting the supercharger to because leaving the old sealer on the flanges will distort the supercharger housing when bolted together and cause failure. Follow the instructions on the package of the sealer for best results.

It is a good idea to check it occasionally to make sure the snout has oil in it, at least around every 30,000 miles.
