This listing is for a PAIR (TWO, 2) quality brand cup-type needle bearings, with a single seal and factory pre-greased.
Eaton superchargers use two needle bearings, one on each rotor shaft. Some of them are cup-type, like the PAIR in this item listing.
If you plan to replace both, purchase ONE ITEM (1) to receive a pair.
THIS IS NOT A HOLE THROUGH NEEDLE BEARING.
We have Hole-through needle bearings available but, this is not the item listing to purchase if you want a Hole-through bearing such as those found in some Jaguar Eaton superchargers. Contact us for the hole-through type needle bearing.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:
- This is a quality single-seal needle bearing for use in normal supercharger applications. This bearing comes with a lapped-lead for smooth installation. This is the most economical choice and has proven reliability with use by our customers. Also available, a premium double-seal needle bearing and a premium brand name INA double-seal needle bearing.
- Install the needle bearings sub-flush to the housing face they are pressed into for proper clearance of the rotor faces.
- The recommended installation lubricant material is Permatex Aluminum Anti-Seize Lubricant part #80078.
- Note: Use extra caution on blind bearing holes.
- This single-sealed needle bearing is the direct size replacement for the bearings it replaces.
- Our premium double-seal needle bearings are better choices if alternative fuels like Methanol injection are being used because the purpose of the double seal design is to keep liquids out of needle bearings.
- The Eaton supercharger case hole is typically 23.2mm deep in the G3 M45,62,90 & 112 hole through housing.
- This leaves about 1.5mm or .050" clearance.
- Use caution for blind bearing bores such as the G3 M62 & 90 used commonly on 2000 & earlier GM cars.
- The cup bearing must not protrude must be sub-flush in bearing hole.
- Original Eaton Cup Type needle bearing dimension 17mm ID 23.8mm OD 20mm W or long.
- Premium double-seal supercharger cup type needle bearing 17mm ID 23.8mm OD 22mm W or long. The bearing is about .5mm or .020" in the bearing hole.
- The grease gun & tool method is often used to remove a bearing from a blind hole.
- Also available is the premium INA brand double-seal needle bearing F390978 FC65477, an upgrade to a brand name double-seal needle bearing.
- This single-seal needle bearing is a quality replacement.
- These needle bearings must be installed sub-flush to the interior face of the housing. Improper installation can lead to contact by the rotor(s) on the needle bearing face and ultimately cause damage to and failure of the supercharger. This can be avoided by installing the needle bearing correctly, sub-flush to the face of the rotor cavity on the inside of the housing. Although we cannot warranty your work, if you get in over your head, you have another choice. You can have these professional installed if you decide this is not a service you are prepared to perform. Contact us for a quote.
